Andrea Barreda (1985-)
Andrea Barreda was born in Lima, Peru.
She works predominantly in the medium of painting and drawing.
She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the National Superior School of Fine Arts in Lima, Peru and in September 2013 received a scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy in Peru for a Fine Arts Semester Study Abroad Program. In October 2016 she received a scholarship for an Arts Residency program from Glo'Art, a leading international arts Centre located in Lanaken, Belgium, where she spent a month and a half completing the program. She has had four solo shows in Lima, Peru, and has participated in many group shows.
Her work is inspired by the theme of 'life and death in nature' and more often represented in the female figure.
She is also an accomplished tattoo artist.
